Warmup: FCAT map reading excercise on the expression.
Brochure:
We were assigned a project where had to make a brochure for one of five colonies to try to attract Europeans to that colony. In your brochure you were supposed to include anyone famous in the colony and their description, a map o the colony, the colonies flag, and there intentions for colonizing.

We finished the brochures in class of the five colonies to try and attract Europeans to our colonies. After we finished the brochures we presented and shared each of them one after the other.

We watched a video on European settlements in America that focused mainly on Plymouth and the New England settlements. After answering 15 questions on the video we then worked on our "Lies That My Teacher Told Me : Christopher Columbus" reading. Open House is tonight at 6:30 PM.

We watched a video on the USA Patriot Act and answered questions in the notes section of the notebook: What is the USA Patriot Act?, How do you feel about the Patriot Act?, How do the ideas of liberty and security compliment each other? How would Ben Franklin feel about the USA Patriot Act "They who give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety", What was the Consitutionality of the Patriot Act? The "Lies My Teacher Told Me" reading and question sheet is due next week so get to work.
